School families host tennis phenoms
On November 1, the World Class Tennis Tour 14 and
Under made its debut DC, bringing the world's top young tennis players
to the United States for the Junior Ambassadors Tennis Cup.

Nov. 4, 2008 was certainly an historic day, but not just
for politics. The first annual Junior Ambassadors Tennis Cup held
its finals, right here in Washington, at the William H.G. Fitzgerald
Tennis Center.
Natalie Novakova and Jhonatan Gonzales won the Girls and
Boys Singles and Doubles of the first Junior Ambassadors Tennis Cup.
The Czech player upset Kamila Pavelkova, also from the Czech Republic,
3/6 6/4 6/3 in the finals. Jhonatan Gonzalez of Venezuela dominated
Japan's Yuki Muramatsu 4/6 7/5 6/2 to take the tournament.
In
addition to the top players from the USTA Mid-Atlantic Section, 11
outstanding players from 7 different countries will take part in what
promises to be one of the biggest stops on the tour within the next
three years!
